01Featured Project

A holiday village on the North Shore waterfront.

Each winter, the waterfront at the Shipyards District transforms into a vibrant European-style holiday destination. The event welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors and features more than 100 vendor stalls offering artisanal gifts, food, and festive experiences.

Behind the warm glow of lights and the festive atmosphere is a significant amount of infrastructure. Timberland played a key role in delivering this seasonal village by supplying over 100 prefabricated cedar structures used throughout the market.

The goal was to create a cohesive holiday environment that felt authentic, durable, and distinctly West Coast. Timberland designed and supplied a series of prefabricated cedar huts and market structures that formed the backbone of the outdoor marketplace.

02Efficient Prefabrication

A tight schedule. Zero room for slippage.

Because the market operates on a tight seasonal schedule, prefabrication was critical. Timberland produced the structures off-site, allowing components to be manufactured efficiently and consistently before delivery. Once delivered to site, the units could be quickly assembled and positioned, enabling the market to transform the waterfront plaza into a fully functioning holiday village within a short installation window.

    01

    Rapid pre-holiday installation

Structures arrive at site assembled or in numbered panels, ready to stand up in hours, not days.

    02

    Consistent build quality

Every hut leaves the mill built to the same spec, the same grade, and the same finish.

    03

    Durable for repeated seasonal use

Designed for outdoor deployment, tear-down, storage, and return the following year.

    04

    Scalable across large footprints

From a dozen units to well over a hundred, production scales without quality drop-off.

    05

    Supporting 100+ vendors

Our structures have formed the backbone of a market supporting 100+ artisan vendors and hundreds of thousands of visitors.

    06

    Efficient prefabrication & deployment

Built in batches in Langley, the units are packed tightly on trucks, delivered, and assembled efficiently at site.

03A Foundation for Celebration

Structures that define the identity of the market.

By supplying the structural backbone of the market, Timberland helped enable one of the Lower Mainland's fastest-growing holiday events. The cedar stalls do not only provide functional vendor space, they also define the visual identity of the market itself.

The result is a festive village environment that attracts families, tourists, and local residents, bringing life to the waterfront and supporting local artisans and businesses throughout the holiday season.
